EEOS funding is available to all energy reduction projects it’s funded by Bord Gais Energy. You do not need to be a Bord Gais customer to apply. We work together to make sure you get the most out of the Grants and EEOS funding available today.
Recent increases to Energy Efficiency Grants
The measures, brought forward by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, include doubling the Innovation Grant Scheme to €10,000, increasing the maximum amount available under the Energy Efficiency Grant Scheme to €10,000 and reducing the business contribution rate from 50% to 25%.
Bord Gais offering funding towards lighting changes and adaptations
Bord Gais are offering many incentives to homes and businesses across Ireland in line with the EEOS (Energy Efficiency Obligation Scheme). One of which is amendments to lighting in an effort to encourage energy efficiently in lighting indoor and outdoor spaces. These adaptations include the prohibition of certain lighting type being installed in newer builds. We are happy to guide you through the EEOS scheme and funding opportunities.

What is the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Energy Efficiency Grant?
The Energy Efficiency Grant supports the investment in technologies and equipment of enterprises following on from a Green for Business Report, GreenStart Report or a SEAI Energy Audit with 75% of eligible costs from a minimum grant of €1,000 to a maximum of €10,000. The aim of the scheme is to reduce the impact of enterprises on the environment thereby increasing the agility and resilience of these businesses, to operate in a sustainable manner. The support provided should be to support the recommendations of one of the above reports.
